I was born and raised in Massachusetts before my family moved to Palm Coast, Florida, in 2006. After graduating from Flagler Palm Coast High School, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, where I deployed overseas in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Inherent Resolve. Following my military service, I spent more than six years in law enforcement, serving as an undercover detective, SWAT operator, and FBI Task Force Officer. In 2020, I took a leap into a completely different career and entered the mortgage industry, helping build Select Professional Mortgages. Since then, I've been incredibly fortunate and humbled to grow into one of Florida's top-producing mortgage loan originators, receive numerous national production awards, and build an amazing team of experienced mortgage professionals and one of Northeast Florida's leading independent mortgage brokerages. When the franchise that helped us get our start closed in 2026, my team and I saw an opportunity to take everything we had learned and built over the years and begin our next chapter: Unreal Mortgage. Today, Unreal Mortgage is built on experience, relationships, relentless work ethic, and a commitment to delivering a level of service that is simply Beyond The Expected.™ Outside of mortgages, I'm happily married to my wife, Mary Capela, a top-producing RE/MAX Realtor whose brokerage is led by my mom, Pam Capela. Mary and I have two kids, a little girl and a little boy who keep us plenty busy when we're not working! When I do find some free time, I'm an avid golfer and love being on the water, especially in the Bahamas.
